High Power Fiber Lasers

Rare-earth doped fibers offer a simple and performance-scalable way of amplifying low-power laser sources to high power while maintaining the optical parameters and beam quality. They are used with ultrashort pulse lasers, Q-switched lasers and continuous laser sources.

An average power of several kW and pulse-peak powers up to the GW range are possible.
