Administrative tasks - PR, strategic orientation, administration

Our employees in the areas of administration, strategy, organisation and communication are essential for the smooth running of our research activities. They keep the researchers' backs free and create the necessary framework conditions for day-to-day research.

Strategy, Organisation, Communication

The Strategy, Organisation and Communication department is responsible for both internal and external processes and procedures. This includes quality management and the supervision of strategic projects at the institute. The department also plans and organises internal and external events such as trade fairs and conferences. The department is also responsible for communicating research results to the public.

Administration

Our administration covers various central areas of responsibility. In addition to your application, the Human Resources department also deals with the concerns of existing employees. The Purchasing, Controlling and Accounting groups handle procurement processes and project-related financial issues. Our travel service supports the Institute's employees in planning and accounting for business trips. Our administration department is also responsible for reception and incoming and outgoing mail.

 

Technical and technological specialists - IT, technology, and workshop

Technology

The employees in our technical department ensure that the technical equipment and systems in our institute are up to date and in perfect working order. This includes, for example, the maintenance of ventilation and electrical systems, installation work and the control of the central telephone system. Our in-house mechanical workshop is also part of the Technology department and manufactures customised components for our optical systems.

IT

The IT solutions we use are essential for our day-to-day work and therefore require the utmost attention from our IT department. Data security, the provision and development of software solutions and hardware configuration are therefore among the department's core tasks. Central IT is also available to our institute's employees as a contact point for questions and problems.
