The assembly of laser systems requires special construction and joining technologies which enable operation and stability in an industrial environment.
To this end, the Fraunhofer IOF develops both adapted optomechanical components (e.g. for mode and beam shaping of laser resonators) and process technologies for high-performance lasers. These include preparation technologies for high-performance fibers as well as joining technologies such as soldering, bonding and adhesion methods for optics and optomechanics.
